STL: Frozen cookie dough gifts with Melissa from No. 2 Pencil

For day two of Share the Love: projects that bring people together, we have an awesome guest post from Melissa, who blogs at no. 2 pencil. I've discovered Melissa's blog fairly recently but I've been checking it regularly ever since. She posts fantastic recipes, including a fairly brilliant method for making a single chocolate chip cookie in a cup, as well as great crafts, and her photography is beautiful. I'm excited to have her here today!

I'm so excited to be here guest posting for Autumn. Today, I'm sharing a gift idea that is sure to brighten anybody's day. Who doesn't love freshly baked homemade cookies?  

The idea is simple, instead of baking your cookies, roll the cookie dough into balls and flash freeze them individually in the freezer. Once the cookie dough balls are frozen, pop them into a freezer safe container and deliver. 

Any cookie recipe will work, I used my Chocolate Chip Cookies. Just add about two minutes to the recipe cooking time to account for the dough being frozen. The recipient can bake just a few and save the rest, or bake the whole batch. 

Since I love cute packaging, I used disposable freezer safe quart containers, also used for ice cream and added a chalkboard label. I make the chalkboard labels by cutting chalkboard contact paper on my Silhouette machine and wrote with a chalk ink marker.
