elementary school year in review printable divider pages

At the end of every school year my kids bring home a binder full of papers: drawings, writing samples, report cards, photos, etc. A whole binder for each year. My oldest is finishing up elementary school this year, meaning he has seven binders full of papers crammed into a bookshelf downstairs. In my never ending quest to fit our big family in a little house, I decided it was time to consolidate. I had my boys go through each binder and pull out four or five favorite items from each year to keep and we recycled the rest.  Then I made year in review pages for each grade. Now instead of seven unorganized binders that no one ever looks at my son has a personal yearbook that hits the highlights of each of his elementary school years. Easter chalkboard art printable

So, do you ever think you'll be able to do something (that looks easy!), just to give it a try and fail miserably? Well, that's what happened with this project. I've seen so many cool hand-lettered calligraphy printables around lately and I thought, why not make one of my own? Apparently I forgot that my handwriting stinks and I'm completely art-challenged, because I bought myself a little calligraphy pen and went to town trying to create something beautiful for Easter. STL: Valentine's printable with Jen from iCandy Handmade

Hello again! Today's Share the Love guest poster is Jen, from iCandy handmade. I first found Jen a year or two ago when I was looking for some fun tee shirt refashions and Jen was cranking them out one after another. Since then she's made all sorts of fun and fashionable women's clothes, including this Hint of Vintage Maxi Dress which I absolutely adore. Thanks so much for being here today Jen!
Hello It's Always Autumn readers!
So happy to be here today for Share the Love.
My name is Jen and I blog over at iCandy handmade.  Normally all I do is sew, but for some reason, around holidays the crafty side of me breaks out.
I love Subway Art and Printables, so I thought for this fun series, especially this week for Valentine's Day, I would create one to share with you!

This is actually my first printable that I have designed, and I love the way it turned out.
I came up with every meaning of love I could find and created a heart out of the words. (Click through for free printable.)

white chocolate peppermint popcorn + new years gift tags

Happy New Year's Eve! I've been having a great week relaxing with my family and the Christmas decorations and wrapping paper explosion are nearly all cleaned up. The hustle and bustle is over and it's time to turn my attention to the one thing I didn't get done before Christmas: neighbor gifts.

Now, neighbor gifts (which usually consist of an array of goodies) are a pretty big tradition for our family. I remember covering the kitchen table with paper plates and then helping my mom distribute cookies, brownies, candy, etc., then packaging them up in plastic sacks with bows and delivering them up and down the street every single year of my childhood. It's  a tradition I've continued and my kids and I usually have a great time one day before Christmas getting everything I've baked up delivered. But this year it just didn't happen. But that's okay! You know why? Because lots of people get loads of treats in the few days before Christmas - so many that some treats end up in the trash. So we're delivering New Year's treats, and the treat is a super easy one (but still delicious!): white chocolate peppermint popcorn. Click title to get popcorn recipe and free printable tags!

free printable gift tags

Hey all, you can find me over at U-Create Crafts today, sharing the recipe for chocolate covered caramel pretzel bites, which just happen to be divine.

If you're in the middle of your holiday baking, today's post might be just what you need: printable holiday gift tags, which will look perfect atop a wrapped present or a stack of Christmas cookies tied up with twine.

Every year I get a bunch of treats baked up, portioned out on plates, and ready to deliver before I realize I've forgotten to buy or make cute gift tags. Then I have to waste time printing off a silly little tag I can tape onto each plate so my neighbors will know who the treats are from. But not this year! I got with the program and created five different gift tags that can be used with presents or treat plates. I'm so prepared (just don't ask me if I'm done Christmas shopping yet).

Christmas subway art {free download}

Christmas decorations start going up the day after Thanksgiving at our house, and this year I decided I needed a few new decor items. Since I love subway art I put together a Christmas sign with the Bible verse that begins "For unto us a son is born" from Isaiah. I played with fonts and sizes for a while until I came up with a combination I was happy with in gradually darkening gold (gold and turquoise are my current Christmas colors). I also made turquoise and red versions, and all three are available for free download at the end of the post.

I like having something that speaks to the true meaning of Christmas in a central location in my home.
