Making something together with my kids is one of my favorite things to do…as long as that “something” is easy enough to not cause a giant mess or huge amounts of frustration. Since we like to celebrate holidays around here with food, I’m sharing over 40 easy Halloween treats today that you can make with your kids – these are cute enough to serve at a Halloween party!
These are Halloween treats and snacks the kids can actually help make without getting discouraged. Many of them only take a few ingredients. Some of these will require adult help (baking the cupcakes or cookies, etc.,) but decorating and assembling these treats should be well within the scope of most kids. Nothing too complicated. Here’s our list of 40+ fun and easy Halloween treats to make with your kids.
Easy Halloween Treats
Let’s start with the easiest treats of all! Apple Monster Mouths are a healthier Halloween snack kids will love helping put together. Turn classic peanut butter balls into spooky Halloween treats by adding eyeballs, and turn bananas into ghosts with a quick dip in white chocolate.
Halloween Rice Krispie Treats
Krispy treats are super easy to make, and these varieties are tons of fun! Form the rice kripsies into different Halloween shapes, decorate them with melted chocolate, or mix your favorite Halloween candy right in.
Halloween Pretzel Treats
Pretzels and chocolate are a classic combo for good reason – the mix of sweet and salty tastes fantastic! Pretzels are even more fun when they’ve been spookified for Halloween. There’s no baking involved with these easy pretzel treats so even young children will be able to help you make them.
Halloween Spider Treats
Spiders have never looked so cute! Check the easy Halloween treat recipes below to turn cookies, cinnamon rolls, suckers, and more into creepy crawly creatures. Even young kids will have a good time decorating these treats!
Halloween Treats with Marshmallows
Marshmallow treats are some of the easiest ones to make for Halloween! Kids will have a blast using turning marshmallows into zombies with food markers, or dipping them into different colors of candy melt and sprinkles.
Halloween Witch Treats
Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a couple of simple witch treats! Put together witch hats from cookies and chocolate kisses, or make brooms with pretzel sticks. Kids can help fill the “surprise inside” witch hats with extra candy and add fingernails to the spooky with finger cookies.
These cupcakes require a bit more prep than the other easy treats in this post, but your kids are going to love helping you decorate them! Older kids can help you bake the cute little cakes and pipe on frosting. Younger kids can add the eyes and mouths to the monsters, place the candy strips to make mummies, and turn Oreos into bats.
Hope you have fun making some of these snack with your kids. Happy Halloween!
