In today’s post: These cute Halloween candles are a fun addition to your Halloween decor and take less than ten minutes to make!
If you like EASY craft projects as much as I do, you’re going to love these simple Halloween candles. To make them you just print a Halloween design on clear sticker paper. Cut out the designs and stick them to the sides of inexpensive candles, and you have a cute Halloween decoration.
How to make Halloween candles
You’ll need clear sticker paper for this project. I ordered this brand of sticker paper from Amazon (I’ve also used this brand in the past). Both are made for use in ink jet printers. Either purchase or download your favorite Halloween designs, or click on the link below to download the designs I used (designs by PrintableTreats and used with permission):
Print the designs out on the shiny side of your sticker paper, as directed on the package. I found that setting my printer to “glossy photo print” worked best.
I used plain white pillar candles that I found at Walmart. For the pumpkin and cat, I cut right along the edges (but I DID NOT cut out the eyes of the pumpkin). For the spiderweb, I just cut along the lines that print above and below the design.
Next, just pull the backing off of the stickers and place them on your candles. For the spiderweb, I wrapped the sticker paper all the way around the candle. Watch this quick video to see what I mean:
And that’s it! Easy as can be.
I burned the candles for quite a while to make sure the stickers don’t just fall off. Good news – they stay put, even if you burn them down past where the sticker is. However, you can pull the stickers off so you could switch out the designs if you wanted to. Happy Halloween!
