Thaw bread dough completely, either 12 hours in fridge or 3-4 hours at room temperature. (You may also thaw in the microwave for about 6 minutes total on defrost, turning every 2 minutes).
Roll out dough to a rectangle shape.
Spread 2 tablespoons of softened butter across dough, then sprinkle on garlic salt.
Spread cheese onto dough, then roll up tightly into a log.
Using a sharp knife, cut log into 8 pieces and place in a greased 8-9 inch diameter round pan.
Let rise for 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 25-20 minutes until tops are evenly browned and rolls are cooked through.
