Prep Time1 hourhr
Ingredients
2piecesFleece1 yard each for baby blanket, 1.5 yards for kid size, 2 yards for teen/adult size
Scissors
Exacto Knife
Yarn
Yarn Needleor toothpick
Instructions
Place both pieces of fabric down on the floor, right sides facing out. Smooth out fabric and match up edges. Cut edges straight, trimming through both layers of fabric at once so both layers are the same size.
Cut a 2x2 inch square from each corner of the fabric (you will be treating both layers of fabric as one from here on out). Make 2 inch cuts all the way around the edges of the fabric, 3 inches apart.
Use the exacto knife to make a small hole in the top center of each strip.
Cut a yard of yarn. Thread it on a needle and push the needle through the first hole. Pull the yarn almost all the way through the hole, leaving a 2 inch tail. Then loop back up and go through the next hole. Don't pull the loop tight.Alternately: if you don't have a yarn needle, use a toothpick to push the yarn through each hole.Continue all the way around the edges of the blanket, cutting new yarn as needed.
Cut across the loops of yarn along the edge of the blanket.
Using your fingers, scrunch up each strip of yarn accordian style and tie the yarn, creating a bow.
