Carrot "Wreath"

Make a cute carrot "wreath" to hang on your front door. You can complete this easy Easter craft in under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 9 inch Foam Cone
  • Cotton Rope
  • Orange Paint + Paintbrush
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Faux Greenery
  • Tag or other embellishment + twine optional

Instructions

  • Cut the foam cone vertically to make one side flat. Also cut around the corner at the top wide edge to make it more carrot shaped.

  • Start gluing the rope onto the foam cone at the bottom (the pointed end). Continue gluing the rope on the foam cone in a spiral.

  • If you run out of rope, start a new piece, making sure this seam is on the back of the carrot (flat side).

  • Continue gluing on rope until the entire cone is covered except for a small opening on the top (the wide end) where you will add greenery. Create a loop for hanging and securely glue the end of the rope.

  • Paint the carrot orange using watered down acrylic craft paint or spray paint. Allow to dry completely.

  • Stick faux greenery into the top of the carrot. Create a bow out of burlap ribbon and gather any additional embellishments.

  • Attach the bow using hot glue, floral wire, or a pipe cleaner. Tie or glue on any other embellishments to finish the wreath.
