French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 8 slices Bread see note

Instructions

  • Preheat a griddle to 350 degrees F. If you don't have a griddle, heat a wide skillet over medium.
  • In a large shallow dish, whisk together milk, flour, cinnamon and salt. Whisk in eggs and vanilla.
  • Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture and turn it over to coat. Remove bread to griddle and cook about 3 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook about 2 more minutes until cooked through.

Notes

Thick sliced bread works best for French Toast, but you can use any bread you have on hand. If you are using thin sliced sandwich bread, you might be able to make up to 12 pieces with this much egg mix. If you are using large, thick slices, you may only be able to make 6 pieces.
