Healthy Frosted Lemonade

This healthier version of the frosted lemonade from Chick Fil A has 35 grams of protein and way fewer carbs - just a third! - of the diet version at the restaurant.

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet Sugar Free Lemonade Drink Mix single serving packet for a 16 oz drink
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder about 31 grams
  • 3/4 cup Skim or 2% Milk see note
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1.5 cups Ice see note

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a high powered blender. Blend on high or smoothie setting until completely combined. Drink should be a smoothie or frosted lemonade consistency; add a little extra milk if needed.

Notes

This recipe can also be made with unsweetened almond milk to cut calories, however the finished drink will not be as smooth and creamy. If using almond milk, you'll probably need a full cup.
It's hard to measure ice because cubes are different sizes. I used the ice that my freezer makes (oblong shaped cubes) and used about 16 ice cubes or approximately 1.5 cups. It was approximately 6-7 oz of ice.
