Mark 1 inch from the end of 8 blocks (for the smaller tree) or 10 blocks (for the larger tree).
Using both E6000 and hot glue, glue together two blocks, overlapping to the 1 inch mark. Squeeze blocks together tightly for at least 10 seconds.
Continue adding overlapping blocks until you have a section 5 or 6 blocks long. Repeat to make a second section. These will be the sides of the tree.
Glue three blocks together end to end for the bottom of the tree, and two blocks together side to side for the base of the tree.
Set the sides and bottom up in a tree shape. Glue the sides of the tree to the bottom, using both E6000 and hot glue.
Carefully stand the tree up and use hot glue to glue the sides together at the top. Give the hot glue a minute to cool, then add more hot glue at each corner, both on the inside and outside, to secure the tree.
Once the tree seems stable, glue it onto the base using both glues. Allow it to set for at least 4 hours or overnight for the E6000 glue to cure.
Spray paint tree if desired, allowing paint to dry in between coats.
Decorate tree as desired.
