Begin by sanding the outside of the bundt pan to remove the sheen.
Paint the outside of the bundt pan and let dry. The first coat will look streaky.
Paint on a second coat, using some lighter paint if desired to give it some color variation. Allow to dry.
Use a cloth to apply decorating wax, then rub it in and rub some of it back off, allowing the darker color to settle in the depressions. Allow to dry.
Seal the pumpkin with a matte spray. Allow to dry.
Cut the top off the floral foam pot insert so that when you place it in the depression in the pan it sits flush with the top of the pan.
Tie sticks together to make a stem. Use a knife to hollow out a depression in the foam that's just big enough for the stem to fit inside. Use hot glue to secure the stem in the foam. Then use hot glue to glue the foam to the pan.
Glue moss over the foam, covering the foam completely.
Decorate the pumpkin as desired. I tied a piece of burlap ribbon around the stem, then added faux leaves and vines made from wired jute cord.
