Easter Bunny Candy Jar Gnome

Turn a mason jar into an Easter bunny gnome in just a few simple steps, then fill it with candy to make an adorable gift. No sewing required!

Equipment

  • Hot Glue Gun

Ingredients

  • Craft Felt in hat color, plus white and cream
  • Faux Fur 3x3 inch piece
  • 1 inch Wood Ball Knob or wood dowel cap
  • Mason Jar w/standard size lid

Instructions

  • Print out the pattern for the hat and beard. Cut the hat out of felt (on the fold). Cut the larger ears from white felt and the inner ears from cream felt. Cut the beard out of faux fur.
    All pieces cut from the pattern.
  • Glue the inner ears over the larger ear pieces using a small amount of hot glue. Place the ears over the hat piece about an inch from the bottom. Use hot glue along the bottom of the ears to attach them to the hat.

  • Fold the bottom edge of the hat up 1 inch and secure with hot glue.

  • Place a line of glue along the top edge of the beard, then tuck it under the hat (centered) to secure.

  • Turn the hat over and fold one side down so the diagonal edge is straight up and down. Add some hot glue, then overlap the other side about 1/4 inch. Continue gluing to secure the second side over the first side.

  • On the front, split the fur in the middle and pull it apart. Glue on the nose.
  • Place the hat on top of a mason jar. Glue it to the lid if desired.
