I am one of the leaders of the children’s group at our church, called the primary. We like to give each of the 100 children in our group a small gift for Christmas each year, something that will remind them of church and won’t break our budget. This year we decided on small framed prints with this saying on it: I am a child of God. I know it. I live it. I love it.

I made up a very simple printable. I played around with some more complex designs, but in the end I thought complete simplicity matched the sentiment best. I wanted to make sure it didn’t look too girly or boyish but would be ok for everyone.

We printed the quotes out at 4×6 and purchased inexpensive frames at Michael’s, making the total cost for the gifts $1 per child. (If you want to purchase lots of frames, try calling and asking about a bulk order discount. The dollar store also usually has lots of frame choices.)
My kids really liked the printable, so I ordered one as an 8×8 and cut out a shaped photo frame to mount it on (for instructions on making your own – it’s easy! – check out this post). Instead of cutting a square in the middle of the frame and taping the photo behind it, I just used mod podge to adhere the photo right on top of the frame. This frame is a slightly different shape than the first one I posted, and I’ve updated that post to contain printable templates for both frames.

If you’d like to make one (or a hundred) of your own, you can download the printable in a variety of sizes below.
I am a Child of God 4×6 (landscape)
I am a Child of God 5×7 (landscape)
I am a Child of God 8×10 (landscape)
I am a Child of God 8×8 (square – this is actually an 8×10 file – it will print with gray bars at the top and bottom you’ll want to trim off to make the print square)
