I love the tradition of neighbor gifts at Christmas. My mom used to send us out to deliver plates piled high with brownies and cookies and breads, oh my! Some years I go a little crazy baking up goodies for the neighbors (find my favorites treats for gifting here), but other years I just really want something simple that doesn’t take too much time, effort, or money. So this week I’m sharing a bunch of cheap and easy neighbor gift ideas. They’re all things you can buy at the grocery store, add a tag to, and be done. Today’s easy gift idea is a 2 liter of Sprite with this fun printable Merry & Sprite tag:
You can usually buy a 2 liter of Sprite for not much more than a dollar this time of year, making this a super inexpensive gift. And with all the holiday gatherings people have, a little extra soda is sure to be appreciated. Add some pretty ribbon, and you have a great gift for neighbors, coworkers, or even your kids’ friends (my children would be THRILLED to get soda as a gift).
Download the free printable Merry & Sprite pdf by clicking here. Be sure to print it out at 100% and for best results print it on cardstock, not plain paper. It looks like this:
Cut out each tag, then use a circle punch or circle cutter to cut a 1.5 to 2 inch circle from the top of the tag. Fold the top down…
…then hang it over a bottle of Sprite. You can assemble a bunch of these and have your kids out delivering them in no time!
Check back tomorrow for more ideas!
