Pressed Flowers Display
Today’s project is fun and super easy! Arrange pressed flowers in a pretty double glass frame, then display it on a shelf to bring color into any room. This would be a great project to do as a craft night with friends. Everyone can sit and chat while they choose flowers and decide how they’d like to arrange them in their frame.

Do I Need to Press my Own flowers?
When I’ve seen projects like this before I’ve been intimidated because I know pressing flowers can be a long process. Then I discovered that you can get beautiful sets of pressed flowers from Amazon for a very reasonable price! So if you’d like to press and frame your own flowers, go right ahead, but if (like me) you want a shortcut, check out Amazon.
I purchased this set of pressed flowers used in this project. I also purchased this set of pressed flowers which has more flowers and less greenery which I’m saving for another project.

Supplies
Here’s what you’ll need to make your own framed pressed flowers display:
- A double glass frame: I used this pretty arched double glass frame to display pressed flowers. These types of frames have two panes of glass on a hinge so you can open them up, place the flowers in between, and then close and secure the glass panes to each other.
- Pressed Flowers: I ordered these pressed flowers from Amazon for this project. I was happy with the colors and I liked that it came with a sheet of leaves and three sheets of flowers. This set is also nice and gives you more colors of flowers but fewer leaves. Each set comes with a lot of flowers, enough to make multiple frames or save for other projects.
- Tweezers: the pressed flowers I ordered came with tweezers
- Mod Podge Matte or acid free glue: Some people recommend using special glue to avoid any color changes in the flowers, but I didn’t want to purchase additional glue for this one project. So I used Mod Podge and have not yet noticed any color change in my pressed flowers.
- Tiny Paintbrush or toothpick to apply the glue

How to Make Framed Pressed Flowers
Decide on Placement
Begin by opening up your double glass frame. Use the tweezers to start moving flowers onto the pane of glass that will be in the back (not the one you just opened up). You can play with placement and different flowers and see what you like. Remember pressed flowers are quite delicate so use the tweezers to move them so you don’t rip any.

Glue Down the Flowers
On my frame the panes of glass weren’t quite tight enough once closed to keep the flowers from shifting, so I used a little it of Mod Podge to secure the flowers in place. Use just a little bit so it won’t be visible around the stems or leaves after it dries. (Mod Podge does dry clear so if you end up with a little showing it won’t be very noticeable.) I used a tiny paintbrush to add mod podge to the back of each stem or flower, then carefully placed it down.

Instructions
- Begin by opening up your double glass frame. Use the tweezers to start moving flowers onto the pane of glass that will be in the back until you like the placement.

- Once you like your design, you can snap a picture to help you remember how you want things placed. Move each piece over to the other pane of glass in the same general area so you can begin gluing.

- Use a small paintbrush or toothpick to add a small amount of Mod Podge to the back of each pressed flower or leaf bunch, then use tweezers to place it down on the glass where you want it to go.

- Continue until all the flowers are glued in place. Leave the frame open for a couple of hours to allow the Mod Podge to dry fully.

- Close the frame and display your pretty piece of pressed flower art!
