I wish there was a little less candy on Halloween. I know, what a buzzkill, especially coming from someone who loves chocolate as much as I do, but really, it’s a little much isn’t it? Going trick or treating is so much fun that my kids end up accumulating way more candy than they can reasonably eat without making themselves sick, and I always feel so bad if we end up throwing some of it away! If, like me, you think the candy’s gone a wee bit overboard and you’re looking for a non-candy Halloween treat for a party or just to hand out at school, try giving spooky straws instead.
I found these twisty straws in Halloween colors at Walmart (6 for $1). Add a cute free printable tag that says “hope your Halloween is ex-straw spooky!”, and you have an inexpensive Halloween treat that kids might be even more excited about than candy.
Assembly is easy. Print the tags out onto cardstock:
Punch holes above and below the printing:
And thread the straw through. Add a little tape on the back if you’d like.

And if you don’t want the “from” line, download a version without it by clicking here.
