In today’s post: Take the stress out of neighbor Christmas gifts with our free printable tags that turn easy to find items into cute gift ideas.
So, let’s talk neighbor gifts. Christmas neighbor gifts has always been one of my favorite holiday traditions. I grew up helping my mom make plates that overflowed with homemade treats for our neighbors. It was so much fun that I’ve continued the tradition over the years with my own kids. But now that my kids are older, the holiday season feels busier every single year and it’s hard to find time to make elaborate plates of goodies. I’ve finally realized that there’s no rule saying Christmas neighbor gifts have to be homemade. Plus some people actually prefer to receive a gift that’s not homemade brownies (if you’re one of those people, feel free to send all the brownies to me!).
Easy + Inexpensive Neighbor Gifts
But I still love giving Christmas gifts to the people who make my neighborhood a great place. So to make life a little simpler for all of us, I’ve put together 17 crazy easy Christmas neighbor gifts. Each one comes with a cute little printable gift tag so all you need to do is buy the item and add a tag and you’re ready to go! The items I included are fairly inexpensive so you won’t go broke making one for each of your neighbors – some are only about a dollar each. And if none of these holiday gift ideas are quite what you’re looking for, I’ve included even more ideas at the end of the post. Happy gifting!
17 easy Christmas neighbor gifts
The free printable tag for each gift idea is linked right below each title. I recommend printing tags on cardstock. Printables are formatted for 8.5×11 paper. Please be sure to print at 100% or full size.
Sparkling Cider Gift
Sparkling cider neighbor gift: I don’t usually buy sparkling cider, so my kids LOVE it when someone gives us some for Christmas.
Hand Soap
Hand soap gift: I think hand soaps are one of the best Christmas neighbor gift ideas! They’re practical, cute, and inexpensive. Check Jo-Ann’s for fun holiday scents that are only a dollar each!
Berry Jam
Berry jam gift: Another cute Christmas gift idea for neighbors! Jars of jam look super cute tied with baker’s twine.
2 Liter Soda Bottle
Soda gift: Here’s another gift idea that’s just over one dollar each. Extra soda is always appreciated when holiday parties are coming up!
Popcorn Neighbor Gift
Popcorn gift idea: Popcorn is a great gift idea for neighbors because it’s healthier than the goodies we usually share. Give a box of microwave popcorn or a bag of air popped corn.
Oven Mitt Gift
Oven mitt gift: I found this cute red oven mitt at the dollar store (score!) and a package of wooden spoons. Add in a little cookie mix and this gift comes to around $2.75 each.
Mandarin Oranges
Oranges gift idea: Mandarin oranges (or cuties) are so good this time of year! Package up a couple in a cellophane bag from the dollar store for a very inexpensive gift everyone will love.
Jar of Nuts
Nuts gift idea: Nuts are great to have on hand for your holiday parties, so neighbors will appreciate this gift idea.
Muffins or Muffin Mix
Muffins gift: A friend game me muffins with this saying years ago, and I’ve always thought it was super cute! (From the song, I’m gettin’ nuthin for Christmas…)
Hershey’s Kisses
Kisses Christmas gift: It’s the oldest Christmas pun in the book, but who doesn’t love Hershey’s kisses?
Blanket, Scarf, Gloves, etc.
Warmest wishes gift: This tag could be used for many different gift ideas! I paired it here with a blanket (check the dollar store and Walmart for inexpensive fleece blankets), but it would also work with a scarf, gloves or mittens, socks, or even a package of hot cocoa.
Loaf of Bread or Cake
Bread or cake gift: Pick up some loaves at your grocery store bakery and add ribbon and a cute tag for a super quick gift for neighbors or coworkers.
Candle Gift Idea
Candle neighbor gift: Scented candles can be pricey, but Walmart sells these pretty jar candles in a variety of great scents for just over $4 each. You could also use this tag with a string of Christmas lights or a mini flashlight.
Cookie Dough
Cookie dough gift: Packaged cookie dough is a great gift during the holidays because the recipient can bake it when unexpected guests arrive or save it until after the holidays!
Donuts
Donuts gift: Use this tag with a package of mini donuts from the grocery store, or a box from your favorite donut shop.
Brownie or Treat Mix
Brownie mix gift: Ok, this one’s pretty funny, right? “Christmas is jolly, Christmas is sweet. I’m stressed out, so make your own darn treat!”
Honey Bear
Honey gift: Here’s another practical gift that’s also super cute!
