I’m excited to be sharing my new craft room with you! I transformed my boring room into an amazing space with the DreamBox from The Original Scrapbox. Yesterday’s post showed before and after photos and gave lots of info about the DreamBox, so click over if you missed it. Today I’m introducing you to the brand new Sew Station, which can be used with or without a DreamBox. This is a sponsored post; I was provided these products in exchange for an honest review.
Hi guys! I’m going to be showing you my new Sew Station today. I have lots of photos as well as a video tour for you, but before we get into all that I want to give you the details on next week’s Black Friday sale.
Black Friday Sale
The 2019 Black Friday sale starts Monday November 25. This is the biggest sale event of the year, and this year they are offering better savings than ever before:
- If you spend $550 or more you’ll save $100.
- If you spend $2800 or more you’ll save $300.
- And if you spend $3400 or more you’ll save $500, which is nearly 15%.
Additionally, the first 500 people to purchase a DreamBox will receive a brand new Power Package completely free. The power package is pretty cool. It adds bluetooth speakers, an integrated iPad/smartphone holder (hello watching movies while you craft!), and a mounted power strip so you can easily plug in all your machines. It retails for $189, so you can save up to $689 in this sale.
The sale officially opens at 5PM MST, but if you click through my links you can start shopping at 3PM MST, which will give you a head start on being one of the first 500 buyers to receive the Power Package bonus.
Click here to start building your DreamBox! Don’t wait until Monday; you can click over now and check out the Black Friday preview and start building your box. You won’t need any special codes to get the Black Friday pricing (my personal code will not give any additional money off during the Black Friday sale).
However, if you’re reading this post after the sale is over, you can still use my code AUTUMNDREAMS to get $100 off your DreamBox. And if you purchase a Sew Station along with your DreamBox, you’ll get $300 off!
The Sew Station from The Original Scrapbox
The Sew Station is a new piece of furniture from The Original Scrapbox. Like the DreamBox, it folds up into a small cabinet that looks great in your sewing room and frees up space. When it’s all folded up you have a nice flat top and you can’t even see your sewing machine (Sew Station is on the right):
There’s a removable panel on the top and an electric lifter that brings your machine up when you’re ready to work. There is also a table that folds up to one side of the machine and another table that folds up behind the machine. When it’s all opened up, you have tons of room to sew!
You can set the Sew Station up with your DreamBox, and it will latch to the DreamBox table. Here’s how mine looks attached to my DreamBox:
However, you don’t have to have a DreamBox to use a Sew Station – you can also set up the Sew Station separately.
Sew Station Video
This video gives you a tour of my Sew Station so you can see what it looks like in action:
Sew Station Pros and Cons
A couple things I really like about the Sew Station:
The plastic insert is pretty cool. It allows you to keep your machine level with your table and gives you a large flat area to sew on, which is really nice.
The extra fold out table tops are so handy! I got a small pressing mat and a mini iron so that I can press seams right from my sew station. No more walking back and forth between my sewing machine and ironing board!
There are extra totes on either side of the sew station, you can always have your most used sewing tools right at hand. Hopefully I can finally stop losing my seam ripper!
When combined with my DreamBox, I have a TON of workspace now. I love it!
There is one thing I don’t love about the sewing station: the thread rack in the pull out drawer. I love the idea of storing all my thread right next to my machine, but I found it was hard to see all the thread and hard to reach the spools that are in the back. I plan to use the rack for bobbins, which will be much easier to see and access.
All in all, I’m THRILLED with my new craft room!
Before and After
In case you missed yesterday’s post, here’s what my craft room used to look like:
And here’s what it looks like now:
My supplies are organized and easy to find, and I love my giant workspace.
If you’re thinking it might be time to get yourself an early Christmas present, remember to check out the Black Friday preview. Remember, you can shop through my links beginning Monday November 25 at 3PM MST.
And if you’re reading this after the Black Friday sale is over, remember to use my code AUTUMNDREAMS for $100 off your DreamBox (or $300 off your DreamBox + Sew Station)!
